If you are interested in pursuing a career as a natural gas technician you may be entering one of the best fields out there.  The is a wide variety of options for technicians, from installer to inspector.

There are currently three levels of tech. G1,G2,G3.

G1—entry level allows you to install units under the supervision of a G2 Or G3 tech.

G2—intermediate level allows you to install and service units up to 400,000 btuh.

G3— Advanced level allows installation and service of all btuh.

Note: Many larger appliance manufacturers require that you pass an educational course in order to be certified to install , start, and service  their equipment.

 

You will spend approximately $3000.00 per level for schooling plus equipment, and additional re education and upgrading.
